When it comes to picking your next gaming keyboard, one crucial thing to decide is whether you want a mechanical gaming keyboard or a membrane one. The best mechanical gaming keyboards can be noisy and expensive, but they’re generally more durable and come with more features than your typical membrane keyboard. Membrane gaming keyboards, on the other hand, are a lot cheaper and quieter than their mechanical counterparts, but they’re also more prone to breaking and are harder to repair.
To help you pick, I’ve selected my best gaming keyboards across both categories in this list, covering a range of prices and feature sets that should hopefully cover almost every base going. The only thing you won’t find here are wireless keyboards (yet), but I’ll be adding more in over the coming months. For now, these are the best gaming keyboards I’ve tested so far.
