Peak co-devs Aggro Crab unleash co-op forklifty mayhem with Crashout Crew, which'll have a demo soon

Ok, so if you're one of those high-vis types who can be driven up the wall by health and safety code violations, you might want to look away. Crashout Crew, a co-op chaos-generator all about forklifts, has been revealed by Peak co-developers Aggro Crab, with sights set on a 2026 release preceded by a Steam demo this month.

I told you to look away, high-vis types! Why are you already running to management with a written demand that all heavy machinery can't be drifted around at top speed and slammed into boxes?

Why does Helldivers 2 have such a bloated install size on PC? Old hard drives, says dev

Even the most fervent Super Earth bootlicker wouldn’t deny that Helldivers 2 has been suffering some technical problems, especially after the performance-sapping Into the Unjust update. Developers Arrowhead say a patch is coming, and in the meantime, have shared the first in a series of techy blog posts burrowing into the engineering side of how the co-op bugshooter comes together. Entry number one doesn’t deal with framerates, though: instead it explains the game’s longer-running issue with its increasingly gargantuan, 150GB-ish install size.

Borderlands 4's first major balancing patch is out now, delivering beefy vault hunter buffage across the board

Borderlands 4's first round of vault hunter balancing tweaks has arrived, with Gearbox having waited until they'd had a chance to try getting some of the looter shooter's technical gremlins under control and observed the state of play balance-wise before whipping out the ol' nerf/buff cannon.

That approach has meant some arguably overpowered early builds haven't been coded out of existence as quickly as players might have imagined, with the developers seeming keen to avoid knee-jerk reactions when it comes to vault hunter changes in particular. I assume the fact they've had a DLC robo-cowboy to help keep post-happy exec Randy Pitchford occupied has probably helped maintain that lack of sudden and potentially ill-fated moves.

Fallout: London modders still have no plans to port it to next-gen Fallout 4, unless a console version becomes possible

Fresh off of releasing the massive mod's first DLC earlier this week, the team behind Fallout: London have confirmed that they've still got no plans to port it to the next-gen update version of Fallout 4. There is, however, one factor that could lead them to reconsider doing so.

Since Team FOLON's take on a post-apocalytic English capital released last summer, playing it has required downgrading your copy of Fallout 4 to an older iteration released prior to April 2024's next-genning of Bethesda's RPG. With the next-gen update arriving out of the blue just ahead of Fallout: London's planned initial release, the modders opted to put it out on this older version for stability reasons, following a delay that allowed them to explore their options.

Chess meets roguelike dungeon crawler Below the Crown gets an early access launch date and a demo that's smarter than me

Am I good at chess? I'll take no for $1500, Alex. But do I love a funky twist on games that are older than time itself? You bet your bottom dollar I do! Enter Below the Crown, a chess video game that is also a roguelike, ,and is also a turn-based strategy game, and is also a dungeon crawler on top of that. It's a lot! It also works very well, and in a demo that just came out today (alongside an early access release date), there's a suggestion of something a touch more… unsettling… going on under the hood.

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault isn't closing up shop, but it has received a small delay out of a busy October

There just doesn't seem to be a good time to release a game right now, does there? We all saw the way that Hollow Knight: Silksong scared away plenty of games, even games with completely different genres. And sometimes it's just a case of a particular month being stacked - just this month alone there's Ghost of Yotei, Battlefield 6, Pokemon Legends Z-A, Ninja Gaiden 4, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, Dispatch, Arc Raiders, the list truly goes on. So, I really can't blame developer Digital Sun, who've announced that Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault has been delayed.

Soma devs Frictional release video of "something new", aka their nice hotel game in which nothing awful will happen

Shortly after updating their ocean horror story Soma with an in-game teaser - an old-school marketing ARG! By gar, it's been a while - Amnesia developers Frictional have put out a brief untitled video of "something new". It's a series of perspectives of what I assume is their new game's science fiction setting. To adopt the appropriate Jungian terminology, it looks creepy as balls. I am looking forward to this soma-ch. Without further ado, that trailer.
